This American malt is similar in style to German "Brumalt", a melanoidan but it really doesn't compare to any other malt with its honey-like taste and residual sweetness. Intense malt sweetness makes it perfect for any specialty beer. Effective flavor contribution of honey, toffee & biscuit from steeping. Best used in brown ales, porters, and stouts. Typical Color: 25L, amber, coppery with orange hues at the typical inclusion rates. Flavor contributions: Honey-like sweetness, ranging from light honey to more intense malty and biscuit flavors at higher usage rates.
